Who is responsible?

What data do we process?

• Contact form. Your name, email address and message. We only use them to answer your question and follow up on a possible collaboration. The form is processed by our hosting provider Netlify.
• Contact by email, phone or WhatsApp. The data you provide yourself, for the same purposes. Messages via WhatsApp are also subject to the privacy policy of WhatsApp (Meta).
• Scheduling a call. The calendar link on the contact page opens a Google Calendar booking page. What you enter there is processed by Google and ends up in our calendar.
• Technical data. To serve and secure the website, Netlify processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type.
• Visitor analytics with Leadfeeder, only if you consent. See Cookies below.

The legal basis is your request to be contacted (steps prior to entering into a contract), our legitimate interest in running a secure website and answering your questions, and for Leadfeeder your consent.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies without your consent. Only when you click "Allow" in the cookie banner do we load Leadfeeder, a service of Leadfeeder Finland Oy (part of Dealfront). Leadfeeder shows us which companies visit the website, based on the IP address of the company network, and which pages are viewed.

To do this, Leadfeeder processes your IP address, a visitor ID, the pages visited, the date, time and duration of your visit, and the website you came from. Leadfeeder acts as our processor. These are the cookies involved:

• _lfa: recognises a returning visitor. Expires after 1 year.
• _lfa_test_cookie_stored: checks whether cookies work. Expires immediately.

You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings, also at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, we remove the Leadfeeder cookies from your browser. Your choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage, without any personal data.

How long do we keep your data?

We keep messages sent through the contact form and by email for as long as needed to handle your question and follow up on a possible collaboration, and for at most 2 years after that. Data we are legally required to keep longer, such as invoices, is kept for as long as the law requires. Leadfeeder deletes data as soon as it is no longer needed, and the cookie expires after 1 year.

Who do we share data with?

We never sell your data. We work with these service providers, who only process your data on our behalf:

• Netlify: hosting of the website and the contact form.
• Leadfeeder (Dealfront): visitor analytics, only with your consent.
• Google: calendar for scheduling calls.

Some of these services may process data outside the European Union, for example in the United States. This only happens with appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing, object to it and have it transferred. You can withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, email info@beartronics.be. We reply within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.

Changes

We may update this policy, for example when we start using a new service. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
